The matchmaking meeting connecting municipal governments and enterprises of Guangdong province with the diplomatic corps of Pacific Island countries was held on Oct 21 in Guangzhou.

Liu Baochun, director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government, attended the meeting.

Manasa Tagicakibau, the ambassador of Fiji to China, carried out communications and discussions with Guangzhou companies, expecting to enhance communications and cooperation between Guangzhou and Fiji in areas spanning economic and trade investment, deep-sea fishing, as well as culture.

The diplomatic corps of Pacific Island countries also visited Yongqing Fang and the Canton Tower on the same day, getting a closer look at Guangzhou's current economic and cultural development.
