Founded in 1959, Guangdong Folk Arts Museum is located in the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, the most famous architecture of Qing dynasty in Guangdong province.

It aims to collect, preserve, display and conduct research on folk arts and traditional crafts from Guangdong province and other parts of China.

With support from the government and local communities, the museum has built up a rich collection of ceramics, embroidery, papercut, carvings and lacquer ware.

In addition to folk arts, visitors can also see historical remains with western cultural elements, such as angel sculpture, the sparrow brace in the shape of a foreigner figure and the corridor with iron pillars.

It not only reflects the pioneering and innovative spirit of the Cantonese people, but also showcases the close cultural exchanges between China and the West in Guangzhou.


Opening hours: 9 am-5:30 pm

Admission: 10 yuan per ticket
