The CBD in Tianhe district is clustered with skyscrapers housing many Fortune Global 500 companies. GAC Group, ranked 303rd in the 2016 Fortune listing, is headquartered in the GAC Center in Zhujiang New Town, which is a window to displaying the global brand image of the Chinese auto manufacturer. Recently, the GAC Center was fully renovated to include an auto tech experiential hall featuring new car show, fashion and leisure and cutting-edge science and technology, which helps establish the international image of a more open, confident and innovative state-owned enterprise.
From April 29 to May 2, the brand-new GAC Center held its first luxury brand show for Trumpchi GS7 in the Guangzhou area, which also kicked off the Trumpchi open day activity. Trumpchi, as GAC Group's core product of its self-owned brand strategy, became the first brand showcased at the GAC Center. GS7, GA8 2017, GS8, GS4, GA6, GA3S PHEV and electric vehicle GE3 also made their debut at the show.

GS7 Guangzhou debut favored, setting new benchmark for 5-seat SUV
All luxury auto brands in the world will put their brand philosophy, culture and design concept into their brand experiential centers to allow visitors to feel their unique charm. GAC Group took the lead in the country to showcase its brand image in the CBD, fully demonstrating the group's efforts in developing self-owned brands and achieving leapfrog development for implementing its goals during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
In January this year, GAC Trumpchi GS7 made its global debut at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), becoming the only Chinese auto brand that had its individual stand on the main show floor in 110 years. It was well received by the overseas media and returned loaded with accolades and honors. Right back home, it started its regional show and presale, with prices ranging from 155,800 to 229,800 yuan. The first 5,000 customers placing a presale order can enjoy a free one-year maintenance service and even have a chance to win a tour to the 2018 NAIAS or a trip of exploration to Tibet. In addition, GS7 will launch favorable loan financing services. With a down payment of 17,000 yuan, customers can easily drive away in a GS7.

GS7 and GS8 share the same platform, have similar design and model and feature robust D-pillar, which make the whole vehicle look sporty and dynamic. The five-seat large internal space and the regular super-size trunk space provide a comfortable riding experience. With the powerful 320T/280T engine and Aisin six-speed tiptronic transmission, the four-wheel-drive GS7 can perform in all road conditions for everyone who wants the ultimate freedom of exploring new landscapes.
At the Guangzhou regional show, GS7 was exceptionally well received. According to an authoritative media analysis, "European and American cars focus on creating a feel of sturdiness and luxury while Japanese and Korean cars give more emphasis on comfort and fuel economy. GS7 incorporates all those elements, winning the hearts of mainstream urban consumers from both inside and outside. Emerging as a strong competitor of hot-selling joint-venture vehicles, GS7 is expected to create new trends as an urban five-seat SUV."

Integrating fashion and technology, GAC Center strives to create world-class brand experience
GAC Group, as a large state-owned enterprise, unveiled its new brand strategy planning and brand slogan "Crafted by the Driven" at Auto Shanghai 2017, signaling the start of its brand upgrading. Under the vision of striving to build a world-class brand with global influence, the renovation of the GAC Center integrated fashion, leisure and technology to create an experience combining cultural and intelligent elements, which fully demonstrated the confidence and openness of a world-class brand.
Located in the prosperous and bustling CBD, the GAC Center extends its cafe to the outdoors. With flowers blooming around, the cafe stands like a high-end coffee shop along the Seine in Paris, inviting visitors to relax in an international atmosphere. A robot named Xiaoman, who possesses such skills as voice recognition, man-machine conversation and direction recognition, shuttles at the lobby, demonstrating cutting-edge technologies to visitors. In the VR theater, futuristic technologies are showcased and visitors can experience GAC Group's factory and products to feel its craftsmanship. In addition, a five-dimensional simulated driving cabin and a gesture and voice interactive wall allow visitors to gain know-how on the latest auto technology.

Intelligent connected new energy vehicles boost Trumpchi to grow into world-class auto brand
GAC Group strives to make major breakthroughs in electrification, internationalization and intelligent connection as stated in its planning for the 13th Five-Year Plan. On April 27, construction on GAC Group's intelligent connected new energy auto industrial park started, which will provide great support to the group's overall brand upgrading, including technological, product and industrial upgrading. Trumpchi took the lead in the group's strategic development. The first-phase expansion project enabling the production of 200,000 new energy vehicles a year will be completed by the end of 2018, which will lay a solid foundation for accelerating the production of Trumpchi new energy vehicles.
Adhering to the philosophy of "Crafted by the Driven", GAC Group has become one of China's fastest growing auto manufacturers. From January to March this year, the group produced 461,700 vehicles and sold 457,200 units, a year-on-year increase of 30.97 percent and 37.64 percent respectively, with the growth rates much higher than the average of China's auto industry. The group's self-owned brand Trumpchi achieved an average annual growth rate of 85 percent for six years since it was put on the market. In the first quarter of this year, its sales volume exceeded 121,000 vehicles, up 68.4 percent over the same period last year. The sales volume of Trumpchi GS4 retained its place in the top two while GS8 continued to sell more than 10,000 units in April after its sales volume exceeded 10,000 units for the first time in March, consolidating its lead in the high-end seven-seat SUV market.
"Trumpchi always insists on brand upward development, gives priority to quality and leads in upgrading the value of Chinese auto brands," said Yu Jun, deputy director of GAC Group's Executive Committee and general manager of GAC Motor. "With the advancement of the expansion project of 200,000 new energy vehicles a year, Trumpchi will further consolidate its lead in the sectors of intelligent connected vehicle and new energy vehicle, striving to become, as soon as possible, a world-class Chinese brand and a global company combining auto production, distribution and R&D."
