The 18th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, an important international exhibition for cars, motor vehicles and car accessories, opens today (November 20, Friday) at the China Import and Export Complex and run through November 29.

Themed on "New Technology, New Life", the show will spread over 220,000 square meters and display some 980 advanced cars from across the globe. They include new cars making their world debut, passenger cars of the Dongfeng, SAIC Volkswagen and GAC Group, as well as new energy vehicles from brands like the U.S. electric car maker, Tesla, and Chery, one of China's biggest independent brands.



Internationally reputed brands of luxury cars, such as Lamborghini, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and Bentley will also make their appearances at the fair, along with those cutting-edge refitted vehicles and high-end recreational ones.


For the first time, a mermaid show under the water will come on the auto exhibit's stage, taking the audience into a fairy world in the depth of the sea. Furthermore, a creative market, with car trunks serving as booths, is also scheduled at the venue for the display and sales of car decorations.


Visitors to the automobile exhibition are given a chance to win Huawei's 5G cellphones, car models, perfumes and red packets in a lucky draw.
