China's civil aviation regulator recently issued several "circuit-breaker" directives, demanding the suspension of some China-bound international passenger routes due to pandemic concerns. The halted flights, including four Guangzhou-bound ones, involve Ethiopian Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Vietnam Airlines and MIAT Mongolian Airlines.

China Southern Airlines' Guangzhou-Amsterdam international passenger route also has been suspended for one week from October 19.

For epidemic concerns, the airlines also announced the suspension of transfer service for some China-bound passengers from October 17, including:

1. Travelers from Africa with a stopover at Amsterdam;
2. Travelers from Argentina, Ethiopia, Guinea, Ghana, Serbia, Senegal, Tanzania and India, with a stopover at Paris.

Ethiopian Airlines' ET684 and ET606 and China Southern Airlines' CZ6086, scheduled before October 26, will be not affected by the suspension orders, according to China's civil aviation administration.
