A delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) global chief executive officer (CEO) club visited Guangzhou's Nansha district on May 31, seeking cooperation opportunities with Nansha while learning more about China's technological and economic development.

The club, which was established in 2006, consists of over 800 members and 3,000 organizations and groups. It has also gathered UAE's top business connections, including members of the Dubai Royal Family.

Dong Hongyan, head of the delegation, said that they plan to arrange for UAE entrepreneurs to arrive in China next year via the Nansha International Cruise Home Port in order to take part in the 2024 Greater Bay Area Science Forum.

Guangzhou has had a friendly city relationship with Dubai, UAE, for over 10 years, and the exchanges between the two cities have become increasingly frequent in recent years. This has strengthened their friendship while also deepening the mutual understanding of both sides.
