On September 3, the Guangzhou Sub-Forum of the Asia-Pacific Media Forum (APMF) was held at the Guangzhou Media Center.

A total of 150 guests — including media representatives from APEC economies, experts, scholars, and business leaders — engaged in in-depth discussions under the theme "Open, Innovative and Collaborative Development in the Asia-Pacific."

The forum aimed to provide diverse perspectives from media, enterprises, experts, and academics to better understand the development pulse of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), explore pathways for regional collaboration, identify new opportunities in tech and industrial cooperation, and chart a new vision for Asia-Pacific partnership.

The Guangzhou Sub-Forum focused on the GBA's contribution to APEC development and Guangzhou's practices. It was divided into two sessions: keynote speeches and roundtable dialogues, where guests explored topics including the Bay Area opportunity, Guangzhou's story, the power of media, connectivity, and the AI engine — all in pursuit of shared prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Asia-Pacific Media Forum will kick off on September 5 in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Under the theme "Building a Path to Shared Prosperity for the Asia-Pacific Community: Media Consensus and Action," the forum is expected to yield multiple outcomes. Participating guests are currently touring Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Zhongshan.
