The first batch of yachts from Hong Kong and Macao entered through designated ports in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Zhongshan on June 18, marking the official implementation of the policy and further integrating cultural tourism within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

To welcome visitors arriving by yacht, Guangzhou has rolled out a series of exclusive travel discounts for them. Here's what's on offer.

Starting from June 18, visitors from Hong Kong and Macao who enter Guangzhou via the Yacht Free Travel Program may enjoy one free admission ticket (first entrance ticket) to key scenic spots in Guangzhou and one free ticket for the Pearl River Night Cruise, respectively, within 15 days from the date of entry, by presenting the valid entry certificate issued on arrival by yacht.

This offer is valid until December 31, 2026.

The State Council approved the exemption from the guarantee requirement and the implementation of temporary ship nationality registration for Hong Kong and Macao yachtson May 29, when they temporarily enter and exit the Chinese mainland through designated ports in the nine GBA cities and navigate only within these cities.
