China Southern Airlines will open a new three-city international passenger service linking Guangzhou, Urumqi, and Frankfurt from June 1, expanding its China-Europe network.
The new service will use Boeing 787-9 wide-body aircraft twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays.
The outbound CZ6041 flight will depart Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 8:10 a.m., arriving at Urumqi Tianshan International Airport at 1:10 p.m. before continuing at 3:15 p.m. to Germany. The flight is scheduled to land at Frankfurt Airport at 5:20 p.m..
The return CZ6042 service will depart Frankfurt at 7:20 p.m. local time and arrive in Urumqi at 8:45 a.m. Beijing time the following day. The flight then departs Urumqi at 10:45 a.m. and reaches Guangzhou at 4 p.m. (all listed times are local).
Following the launch, the airline's European network will expand to 24 routes with more than 100 weekly round-trip flights.
Frankfurt, one of Europe's major financial and transport hubs, is positioned as both a business gateway and a leisure destination, with onward rail and air connections across Germany and the rest of Europe.
