China extends visa-free policy for Russian citizens

China has decided to extend visa-free entry for Russian citizens until December 31, 2027, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said on May 20.
Ordinary passport holders from Russia can stay visa-free for no more than 30 days for the purposes of business, tourism, visiting family and friends, exchange and transit, Guo Jiakun told a regular news conference.
Beijing is willing to work with Moscow to further facilitate people-to-people exchanges, injecting more impetus into the development of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era, Guo said.
