From May 22 to 24, the blockbuster poetic dance drama The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting (《只此青绿》) will be staged at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center.

Uniquely integrating dance with poetic drama, The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting consists of seven chapters: scroll unfolding, seal script asking, silk singing, stone search, penmanship practice, ink milling, and drawing. 

From the perspective of the scroll opener, the drama takes the audience on a time-traveling journey into the painting world of Wang Ximeng (a Song Dynasty painter), offering an immersive experience of appreciating the classic masterpiece.

The dance drama is inspired by the renowned Song Dynasty painting A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains (《千里江山图》). Since its premiere in 2021, the dance drama has toured globally for over 800 performances with full houses for every show. It has also won major awards including the 17th Wenhua Award and the WIPO-NCAC Copyright Awards.
