The 2026 Guangdong City Basketball League (YueBA) tipped off on March 22 with a thrilling match between Chaozhou and visiting team Huizhou. To rally support for Huizhou, the visiting side brought in a special guest — the Song Dynasty literary giant "Su Dongpo" and his family — who performed an energetic modern dance routine to "Da Zhan Hong Tu (Great Ambitions)." The scene was lively and full of joy.
The Su Dongpo family once lived in Huizhou, where the famed poet wrote his well-known verse: "Three hundred lychees I'd eat every day. So in the south, I'd be content to stay."
