The annual Yuexiu Temple Fair kicked off Lantern Festival with aplomb on March 3 in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, injecting a distinct southern charm to the holiday spirit.
The week-long event includes food tasting, Cantonese opera performances, song and dance shows, Southern Lion dances, robotic martial arts displays, Chaoshan Yingge dances, and a series of regional art shows.

The Beijing Road Cultural Tourism Zone is the fair's main venue, with several sub-venues in the downtown Yuexiu district.
