On March 2, Guangzhou Yuexiu Group and Beijing Hualian (SKP) signed a formal partnership in Beijing, bringing the "Global Store King" to Guangzhou's Racecourse (Machang) site in Zhujiang New Town. The move is expected to reinforce the city's standing as an international trade hub and South China's commercial center, accelerating its push to become a more dynamic global consumption destination.

SKP stands as China's premier luxury retail platform, offering the most complete portfolio of top-tier brands including Hermès and Chanel at world-leading operational standards. Its projects in Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu and Wuhan have each become local commercial landmarks. Beijing SKP has topped national department store sales for years, exceeding RMB 24 billion in 2025 with both total revenue and sales per square meter ranking first globally.
Construction at the Racecourse site is scheduled to begin by late March, with completion within three to four years. The development will integrate parkland, retail, hospitality, offices and residential space into an international-grade mixed-use complex. Upon completion, it will anchor global luxury brands and is projected to become a RMB 10-billion-plus annual sales landmark for the Greater Bay Area.
