"Through the opening of the horse zone and a series of themed activities during the Chinese New Year holiday, we hope to allow visitors to experience the cultural charm of horses in a joyful setting, while also conveying the message of animal conservation and sharing nature," Chen Yi, general manager of Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort, said.
The Guangzhou-based safari park is home to over 20,000 rare animals from more than 500 species. It is also home to the world's only triplet giant pandas, which were born early in 2014.
