A dedicated shuttle bus connecting Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has officially begun operation this year.

Running regularly between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., the shuttle takes only 30 to 40 minutes, aiming to provide passengers a seamless transfer between the two major transport hubs.
Passengers with a valid same-day plane or train ticket can ride for free. The pickup point at Baiyun Railway Station is located at Entrance No. 4 on the South Departure Platform.
Another passenger-friendly service — the Travel Light Service — is now available at the station. It allows passengers to travel with only carry-on items while their bulky luggage is transported separately to their destinations.
Within 35 kilometers from the train station in the same city, travelers can choose from two options:
1. Door-to-Station Service: Staff pick up eligible luggage from the passenger’s chosen location and deliver it directly to the departure station. After passing security checks, luggage can either be taken to the boarding platform or stored in designated service lockers.

2. Station-to-Door Service: Luggage is collected from the platform or designated service areas and delivered to the passenger’s final destination within five hours.
The fee is 68 yuan per item for Door-to-Station or Station-to-Door service, and 98 yuan per item for Door-to-Platform or Platform-to-Door service.
Passengers who purchase tickets can book the Travel Light Service through 12306 Railway (铁路12306) APP or WeChat mini program as well as China Railway Express (中铁快运) WeChat mini program.

In addition, 1,598 new seats have been added inside and outside the station, providing more resting space for passengers — especially the elderly and children.
