A new direct flight connecting Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, with Haiphong, Vietnam, was launched on January 6.

Operated by Shenzhen Airlines, the route will run three times a week. Flight ZH129 departs from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 3:55 p.m. (local time) and arrives in Haiphong at 5:20 p.m. (local time). The return flight, ZH130, leaves Haiphong at 6:20 p.m. and lands in Guangzhou at 9:15 p.m.

The launch of this new route is expected to strengthen economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the northern economic center of Vietnam, fostering closer trade ties and boosting tourism.
