2026 is just around the corner — are you ready? To all of us in the strive: let's keep running, keep striving. Together, on this crucial stretch, let's push the pace and claim the win.

From 2021 to 2025, Guangzhou's economy surpassed 3-trillion-yuan. The number of registered business entities rose to second place among Chinese cities. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong innovation cluster ranked first globally. In the GaWC world cities ranking, Guangzhou climbed to 22nd place.

The nation's mandate has charted Guangzhou's path toward modern advancement, infusing it with powerful momentum.

Guangzhou has been pushing hard on the economic front. GDP growth accelerated from 2.1% for the full year of 2024 to 3% in Q1 2025, 3.8% in H1, and 4.1% in the first three quarters, marking a "U-shaped" recovery.

This year, the city's registered business entities exceeded 4.25 million — a 58% increase from late 2020, securing the second-highest total nationwide.

On October 15, 2025, the 138th Canton Fair opened, attracting over 310,000 overseas buyers from 223 countries and regions — a 7.5% increase from the previous session, setting a new record. A series of major international events have chosen Guangzhou.

Guangzhou contributes to the national strategy through its role in the Greater Bay Area development, serving major regional initiatives, and supporting collaboration between eastern and western regions.

With an average net population inflow of over 500,000 per year and a peak real-time population exceeding 28 million, this megacity proactively addresses public concerns, turning everyday "troubles" into "heartwarming solutions" for its residents.

Standing at the historical juncture where the 14th Five-Year Plan concludes and the 15th begins, Guangzhou will maintain its tireless spirit and determined drive, continuing to achieve new breakthroughs.
