"In Guangzhou, I've come to understand Chinese culture and met a better version of myself," says Indonesian student Zhang Xueling.
Since arriving at South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 2023, she has immersed herself in traditions from Hanfu to calligraphy, winning multiple awards and performing alongside peers from around the world.
Through travels from Luoyang to Beijing and shares on TikTok, she connects a global audience to China's vibrant culture.
Now, she aims to become a bridge between China and Indonesia, inviting more to see the country through her eyes — alive with heritage and possibility.
