Recently, the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province, along with four other departments, issued a notice approving the establishment of two outbound duty-free shops in the province.

A new duty-free shop will be set up at Guangzhou's Nansha International Cruise Home Port to enhance the travel experience for cruise passengers and boost the cruise industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. At the same time, the existing duty-free shop at Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, whose operating agreement was nearing expiration, has been approved to continue its operations.

This brings the total number of entry and exit duty-free shops at ports in Guangdong to 52, ranking among the highest in the country. These facilities aim to provide convenient shopping options for travelers, and help lower shopping costs for tourists in Guangdong.
