Known as the city of flowers, Guangzhou sees many varieties in bloom every December. Among them, the silk floss tree (Ceiba speciosa) stands out — its pink and white petals waving against the blue sky, creating a striking sight.

Home to hundreds of silk floss trees, the Shipai branch of South China Normal University is well worth a visit.
