As the National Day Golden Week approaches, Guangzhou is set to host a vibrant array of events — from music and comic festivals to cultural expos and food fairs. 

Kicking off the holiday is the highly anticipated 2025 Guangzhou Super Strawberry Music Festival, scheduled for October 2–4 in Nansha district. This large-scale event promises to be the holiday highlight, offering residents and visitors an exciting lineup of cultural and entertainment experiences.

Under the theme "Celebrate the National Day, Welcome the National Games," the Strawberry Music Festival will feature three stages and 54 performance slots, bringing together popular bands from across Asia. Notably, 20 musicians will make their debut on the "Strawberry Planet" stage, offering attendees an unforgettable carnival atmosphere.

To facilitate access, complimentary shuttle buses will operate between the Nansha performance venue and Guangzhou Metro Lines 4 and 18. Music fans can take the buses for free by presenting their 2025 Strawberry Music Festival e-ticket. 

Additionally, music festival ticket holders can enjoy an 80% discount on admission to three major Nansha attractions: Nansha Tianhou Palace, Nansha Bird Park, and Nansha Wetland Park.

2025 China International Comic Festival Expo (CICF EXPO)

Date: October 2-5, 2025

Location: Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center Expo, Haizhu district

Highlights: It brings over 10,000 global top brands and more than 7,000 IP products, kicking off a holiday carnival for young friends.

"Cyber Sky Street" of Grandview Plaza

Location: Guangzhou Grandview Plaza, Tianhe district

Highlights: This commercial street integrates mechanical art, trendy photo spots, and interactive social spaces to create a dynamic nightlife scene, offering an immersive "virtual-meets-real" experience.

Animated Themed Event

Location: Guangzhou Ocean World, Yuexiu district

Highlights: The aquarium has been transformed into an animated wonderland, collaborating with hit cartoons to present "Metal Cardbot Gathering, Trendy Ocean Double Festival". 

Baiyun International Beer & Food Festival

Date: October 1-3, 2025

Location: Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center, Baiyun district

Highlights: Blending beer culture and Lingnan cuisine with live music and contemporary art, this festival brings together more than 40 food brands offering global delicacies, intangible cultural heritage snacks, and Cantonese dishes. The event also includes international art displays and exhibitions on Cantonese intangible cultural heritage.

Flower Sea Concert

Date: Starts from September 28, 2025

Location: Shimen National Forest Park, Conghua district

Highlight: Combining natural sound effects to designed distinctive ones, the concert brings an extraordinary audio-visual experience. Performances will be held throughout the National Day holiday and every weekend in October. Interactive activities such as water sports, fun athletic games, and hands-on intangible cultural heritage experiences will also be available.

The Greater Bay Area Digital Sports Carnival

Date: October 8, 2025

Location: Langtou Ancient Village, Huadu district

Highlight: The event will feature star ambassadors from the National Games and sports champions participating in digital sports carnival.
