During the upcoming National Day holiday, Guangzhou is bursting with over 2,000 cultural events — spanning scenic attractions, exhibitions, and performances — according to a press briefing on September 17.


Across the city, scenic spots are offering immersive experiences that blend intangible cultural heritage with modern appeal, creating unforgettable moments for both locals and international visitors.  


Here's a glimpse into some of the most captivating events:


The 8th Panyu Shuise Tourism and Culture Festival


Location: Baomo Garden, Panyu district

Highlights: Watch the breathtaking National Intangible Cultural Heritage "high-pole boat acrobatics" and the mesmerizing provincial-level artistry of "Piaose" water parades.


Yingge Dance Themed Festival


Location: Lingnan Impression Park, Panyu district 

Highlights: Feel the power of Yingge dance, enjoy dynamic lion dances on water, and savor the melodic beauty of Cantonese opera.


"Shawan Fish Lantern·Intangible Heritage Experience" Cultural Festival  


Location: Shawan Ancient Town, Panyu district 

Highlights: Get hands-on with Shawan Piaose makeup, Guangzhou brick carving, and traditional fish lantern making.


Mid-Autumn Lantern Show


Location: Guangzhou Cultural Park, Liwan district
