2025 Guangzhou Huangpu International Open and the ceremony of ATP 100 Challenger event took place at the International Tennis School in Huangpu district of Guangzhou on September 7.

The tournament has attracted more than 70 top tennis players from nearly 20 countries and regions.
One of the highlights among the ceremony was the integration of tech and sports — a robot 'ballkid' MAXHUB X7 shed light on the stage, delivering tennis ball agilely and accurately, captivating the audience's attention.

Developed by CVTE, a local tech company based in Huangpu, the industrial quadruped robot features high-performance electric-driven joints and an adaptive gait algorithm. It is capable of traversing various terrains, including 35° slopes, stairs, gravel paths, and grass. Meanwhile, it can steadily operate in temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 55℃, and also in tough conditions like heavy rain and dust environment.
