The Nanyue King Museum has recently launched an exhibition featuring 300 pieces/sets cultural relics from the Neolithic Age to modern and contemporary China. These exhibits were previously collected by the museum through transfers, donations and purchases, and most of them are being shown for the first time. 


This is the museum's first exhibition to systematically present its acquired collections since its founding, offering visitors a glimpse into the stories behind the artifacts.

If you're interested in Lingnan culture, don't miss this exhibition at the Guangdong Museum of Art in Guangzhou. It displays over 300 artworks from different art museums across the province, featuring paintings from Lingnan masters like Guan Shanyue and He Xiangning, to noted Chinese painters like Qi Baishi, Fu Baoshi and Liu Haishu, as well as avant-garde artists Yu Hong and Ding Yi.

📌 Yǒu Mǎo: The Art Between Presence and Absence

"Paper cutting is an art of constructive subtraction. Only by cutting away some paper can keep other parts remain. What you see exhibited here are the positive shapes that have been extracted," stated by Chen Fenwan, the artist of this exhibition.


Set against the backdrop of time-honored Langtou Village and its modern counterpart Chun Yang Tai, the artist Chen Fenwan transforms paper-cutting into large-scale, immersive installations, collapsing boundaries between folk art and contemporary practice.
