This summer, nearly 120 teenagers of Chinese descent from the UK, France, Thailand, Hungary, and other countries joined the 2025 "Embrace China· Roots Seeking Journey" summer camp in Guangzhou. From exploring science museums and trying dragon dances to pounding Chinese drums and playing with tie-dye colors — the activities were endlessly exciting!
But surprisingly, what captivated them the most was a seemingly quiet tea ceremony class: warming the cup, adding tea leaves, pouring water, steeping, serving… every step was full of artistry. "I used to think tea brewing was kind of boring," one teenager said , "But this time, it was different!"
