Most of the trails in Guangzhou's bamboo forests are free to access, providing refreshing shade and a great opportunity to enjoy nature in summer.

1. Yushu Park (玉树公园)

Yushu Park boasts dense groves of trees, creating plenty of cool shade. The park features many pathways, mostly flat, perfect for elderly walkers and young children.
The grassy lawns in the bamboo forest are ideal for spreading out picnic mats and relaxing, chatting, reading, or playing games.

2. Xiaogang Park (晓港公园)

Built in 1975, this park has the largest collection of ornamental bamboo in Guangzhou, earning it the nickname 'Bamboo Park'.
As you stroll down the winding path surrounded by lush bamboo forests, you feel as though you are in a living ink painting, with the fresh aroma of bamboo leaves permeating the breeze.

3. Baiyun Mountain

In the Cuizhu Garden of Baiyun Mountain, tall bamboo trees create a green dome that blocks the summer sun. Walking along the paths, visitors can find babbling streams that offer refreshing water play opportunities. While in the Zhuxi of Baiyu Mountain, visitors can smell fresh bamboo aroma in the moist air.

4. Changling National Hiking and Fitness Trail

The trail is the province's first state-recognized hiking route, and has been one of Guangzhou's most popular hiking destinations since it opened.
The Zhushanchong section of the Huangma Trail is renowned for providing the ultimate bamboo forest hiking experience in Guangzhou. The route winds almost entirely through lush bamboo forest, passing clear streams and natural pools along the way.
