On May 31, a vibrant dragon boat "calling ceremony" took place along the Liede Creek of the Pearl River in Guangzhou to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. 

About 100 dragon boats navigated through the CBD area, creating a "dragon boat traffic jam" as well as festive scenes rivaling Chinese New Year celebrations. Both banks were packed with locals and tourists.
