Recently, Guangzhou First Bus Co., Ltd. has joined hands with Guangzhou Zoo to launch an animal-themed bus route, which has drawn attention of quite a few passengers.

Initiated in as early as 1958, the No. 6 bus route has been the first bus line bound for the Guangzhou Zoo in the city. 

What distinguishes the featured bus from other ones is the illustrations of hand-painted pandas, lions and other locally well-known animals displayed on the buses.

To make the ride more delightful, the bus has stickers of QR codes on windows, through which passengers can scan to hear the sound of animals and browse the pictures of them.

The funnest part comes when the buses pass some landmark stops like the Guangzhou Zoo Station and Guangdong Television Station, and the broadcast will feature children's voice recording of animal science introductions, playfully reminding passengers of upcoming stops.

“People will be attracted to the interior decorations of the buses and the broadcast simultaneously,” said Guo Zhixiang, one of the bus drivers of the route. All drivers working for the bus routes have been trained in advance for animal science popularization as well as voice announcement operation.

Meanwhile, organizations such as enterprises and schools can customize themed itineraries including "Ecological Science Popularization Special Line" and "Environmental Protection Public Welfare Parade".

Besides the No. 6 bus route, the No. 78 bus route will also operate animal-themed vehicles on a regular basis.
