Passengers now can hail self-driving robotaxis in designated areas as WeRide, a leading autonomous driving technology company, has launched eight dedicated routes for autonomous robotaxis operation in downtown Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province.
The move establishes the first 24/7 autonomous ride-hailing network covering the core areas of a first-tier city in China.
Here's a guide for using the service:
1. Download WeRide Go application on cell phone
2. Select "Book a Car Service" (预约专车接送)
3. Choose "To and from Guangzhou South Railway Station" or "To and from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport"
Operating Hours: 24 hours a day (booking available from 6 p.m. today for rides after 12 p.m. the next day)
Pick up points:
1. Guangzhou South Railway Station: West Gate/P5 Parking Lot
2. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport: Terminal 1, Gates 7-8/ P1 Pick-up Point

1. Canton Tower ⇄ Guangzhou South Railway Station
2. LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou ⇄ Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport
3. Zhujiang New Town (Exit G of Xiancun Metro Station) ⇄ Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport/Guangzhou South Railway Station
