Recently, a newborn Francois' langur Chuyi made its first public appearance at Chimelong Safari Park, Guangzhou.

Chuyi means the first day of the Lunar New Year, symbolizing prosperity and joy.

With its conspicuous golden-orange hair, Chuyi is very eye-catching among its family, attracting a crowd of visitors.

Francois' langur, also known as Tonkin leaf monkey, is a first-class nationally protected animal and one of the endangered species. The adult monkeys are easily recognizable by their sleek black fur and distinctive white fluff on the cheeks and ears.

Currently, there are over 10 Francois' langur monkeys in the Chimelong Safari Park. Visitors are able to get close to their daily life, such as swinging from branches with their tails, picking leaves from the treetops, and playfully grooming each other.
