Alipay, China's leading digital payment platform, has announced a new partnership with American Express, enabling eligible American Express cardholders worldwide to link their cards to Alipay for seamless payments within China. 

Under the agreement, American Express users can now enjoy Alipay's extensive services during their travels in China. By downloading the Alipay app and binding their American Express cards issued overseas, visitors can gain access to a wide array of conveniences. These include hailing rides, booking tourist attractions, using public transportation, renting portable chargers, processing tax refunds, and making payments at tens of millions of merchants across dining, shopping, entertainment, and travel scenarios.

International visitors can now use seven card brands from major global networks in China through Alipay.
