Guangzhou gears up to welcome Chinese New Year with flower markets (Ⅱ)

As the Year of the Snake approaches, the flower markets in Guangzhou will start welcoming visitors soon.

1. Huangpu district


Time: 

From 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., January 24 to 25

From 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., January 26 to 27

From 9 a.m. to 12 a.m., January 28


Venues:

Guangzhou Maritime Silk Road City Main Venue 

Address: Plaza inside the west gate of Huangpu Park


Guangzhou Science City Sub-venue 

Address: Plaza inside Luoxin Zhijie (萝馨直街) of Shuixi Lu (水西路) 


Guangzhou Knowledge City Sub-venue

Address: Plaza in front of Rencai Dasha (Talent Building), No. 1 Yichuang Street (亿创街)


In 2025, the Huangpu Flower Market is divided into three locations. The main venue is at Guangzhou Maritime Silk Road City, in which 90 flower market stalls will be set up, while the sub-venue in Guangzhou Science City area will also have 90 flower market stalls. And the sub-venue in Guangzhou Knowledge City area will establish 78 flower market stalls.


2. Huadu district


Time: From 9 a.m., January 25 to 10 p.m., January 28

Place: Huahui Zhidu (花卉之都), No. 37 Furong Avenue (芙蓉大道)


The market distinguishes itself with a fresh flower market, digital technology, intangible cultural heritage display and public welfare charity activities. A total of 300 booths will be set up, including 62 fixed flower shops and 238 temporary booths for seasonal flowers and kumquats, New Year goods, and public welfare purposes.


3. Panyu district


Time: From 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., January 24 to 28

Place: Commercial street in Wanbo Center, Nancun Town


By designing exquisite archways and stalls, the environment around the flower market will be enhanced to create a festive atmosphere. Meanwhile, modern cultural elements will be integrated with activities such as dragon and lion dances, traditional Cantonese opera performances and artistic shows. In addition, Panyu flower market will introduce new sections for year-goods and food stalls, tea and coffee stands, as well as new gaming projects and elements related to the 15th National Games.


4. Nansha district


Time: From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., January 22 to 27 (extends to 10 p.m. on January 27)

Place: Haibin Lu, Nansha Street


The towns and sub-districts of Nansha will select appropriate locations based on actual conditions to host distinctive flower fairs and put up convenient sub-venues alongside temporary sales points for fresh flowers, kumquats, and other New Year decorations.


5. Conghua district


Time: From January 24 to 28 

Place: Fengyunling (风云岭) Ridge Park


The 2025 Conghua flower market is located at the picturesque Fengyun ridge, featuring 170 booths that include kumquat bonsai, fresh flower arrangements, aquariums, cultural crafts, spring festival windmills, children's novelty items, and food (beverages).


6. Zengcheng district


Time: Run till January 28 

Place: Zengcheng Square


The flower market showcases flowers characterized by Lingnan culture such as peach blossoms, narcissus, and kumquats, with multiple exhibition areas set up. Specially, a "New Year's Shopping" zone is established, offering a wide variety of traditional snacks and delicacies essential for the Spring Festival in Guangdong. There is also a sales and exhibition area for festival couplets and spring couplets (挥春) where citizens can purchase and participate in the creation to add a festive atmosphere to their homes.
