Big news! The former site of Fangcun Flower Bird Fish & Insect Market of Guangzhou has now been transformed into a fun & active park and opens to the public recently.

Adjoining to Exit A and B of Huadiwan Station of Guangzhou Metro Line 1, the park takes up an area of 59,000 square meters.

It is divided into five sections. Let's take a quick peek at them.

The most eye-catching part must be a 15,000-square-meter multi-purpose sports complex, which comprises six tennis courts, 10 badminton courts, two standard basketball courts alongside two 7-a-side football pitches and two 5-a-side football pitches.

Each sports field can accommodate 300 to 400 people respectively, meeting the standard for city-level competitions.

There is also a family amusement park which covers an area of 7,000 square meters and equips with 24 manual amusement rides.

According to the park, it is the largest of its kind amongst three historic districts, namely Liwan, Haizhu and Tianhe.

Meanwhile, a 10,000-square-meter lawn area is open to the public free of charge. In the future, this space will host a variety of activities, including university student art exhibitions, music festivals, artist performances, and art displays. Additionally, a 400-meter low-carbon track encircles the area, catering to the needs of running enthusiasts.

Besides, a 1,600-square-meter gathering area provides a rest place for people. And bazaars of various themes will add fun for those strolling around the lawn.

For those who wish to drive to the park, a 10,000-square-meter smart parking lot with 325 parking spots is available now.
