A five-day-long food festival concluded successfully in Shangxiajiu (上下九) pedestrian street, Liwan district, drawing a large crowd to visit and igniting the vibrant buzz of the street.
With nearly 80 food exhibitors, the event showcased a variety of local snacks, including glutinous rice, red bean paste, double skin milk, and barbecue pork buns, winning the hearts of food enthusiasts.
Among the many culinary delights, shredded fish maw soup from Jinjin (津津) Restaurant stood out, attracting long queues of eager diners, selling over 300 portions daily.
"The soup, made with shredded fish maw, lean meat, and mushrooms in the traditional way for over 30 years, brings back the authentic flavors of our childhood," said a representative from Jinjin Restaurant.
The festival also featured other Cantonese snacks such as barbecue pork bun, a signature dish of Guangdong, sachima, a sweet egg pastry coated in syrup, pig's feet with ginger and chicken feet with abalone sauce.
