China Southern Airlines launches new GZ-Chengdu route with C919

On November 15, China Southern Airlines (CSA) launched its new CZ8233 flight on the Guangzhou–Chengdu Tianfu route using the domestically produced C919 aircraft. This is the third regular commercial flight for the carrier's C919 fleet, following the Guangzhou–Shanghai Hongqiao and Guangzhou–Hangzhou routes.
The Guangzhou–Chengdu Tianfu route operates daily. Outbound flight CZ8233 departs Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 2:15 p.m. and arrives at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport at 4:45 p.m.. The return flight, CZ8234, departs Chengdu at 6 p.m. and arrives in Guangzhou at 8:20 p.m..
The CSA C919 features a standard range configuration with 164 seats in a three-class layout, including 8 business class, 18 premium economy, and 138 economy class seats. Customized cabin amenities, such as personal charging ports at every seat, enhance the travel experience with added convenience and comfort.
With the addition of this route, there are now four C919-operated routes departing from Guangzhou, including one operated by China Eastern Airlines between Shanghai Hongqiao and Guangzhou, offering more travelers the chance to experience the C919 firsthand.
