The 2024 Guangzhou International Food Festival is being held at the Wanbo (万博) Center in Panyu district from November 1 to 10. So let's take a look at some of the recommended restaurants and dishes before you head out this weekend.

Cantonese Food

Time-honored restaurants serving authentic Cantonese cuisine are taking part in the event, including Tao Tao Ju (陶陶居), Guangzhou Restaurant, Panyu Hotel, Fisher’s Village, Pan Lai Shun (番来顺) and Big Tree Forest Restaurant. 

International Food

Visitors can sample exotic food from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Brazil.

Chinese Dishes

Visitors can find famous Chinese snacks such as Chongqing noodles, Xinjiang lamb skewers and Qingfeng (庆丰) steamed buns.

Greater Bay Area Food

This zone features restaurants from nine cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, such as Hong Kong's Tsui Wah, Shenzhen's Tan Yu (探鱼) and Zhuhai's Changsheng Abalone (常胜鲍鱼).

Specialty Food

Visitors can buy Shawan Ancient Town milk dessert, Hong Kong-style imitation shark's fin soup and fish skin salad in the zone.

Food on the Intangible Cultural Heritage List

Visitors can purchase gifts such as milk from Mountain Flowers, tomentose pummelo peel from Huazhou (化州) and cured meat from Yushan (禺山).
