A bonsai art and culture festival kicked off in Lanhe Town of Guangzhou's Nansha district on September 28. The festival, which runs until October 4, showcases over 400 of the most representative bonsai masterpieces from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), marking the largest and highest-level bonsai exhibition in Nansha to date.
The event is held at Lingnan Bonsai Industrial Park daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering free admission without the need for reservations.
Su Fang, President of the China Bonsai Artists Association, highly praised the exhibition, stating, "This is the highest-level bonsai exhibition in China in 2024."
The event attracted nearly a thousand bonsai enterprises from the GBA and its surrounding areas. The exhibits included landscape bonsai, tree trunk bonsai, flower bonsai, as well as the currently popular bonsai styles such as micro-combination bonsai, fully demonstrating the diversity and richness of bonsai art.
The festival serves as a significant platform not only for artistic display but also for rural revitalization and cultural heritage promotion. By leveraging land resources and fostering industrial integration, Nansha district is actively transforming its rural landscape into a vibrant cultural and economic hub.
