Recently, Mahua Fun Age, known as Kaixin Mahua (开心麻花) in Chinese, one of China's most popular comedy troupes, has kicked off its 2024 Comedy Life Festival in Guangzhou.

Running from September to December, the festival will feature over 100 shows of more than 10 comedies, aiming at bringing a feast of drama to audiences.

Besides multiple comedy performances, the festival will also launch flashmobs, themed forums and a comedy competition for university students on Beijing Lu Pedestrian Street, one of Guangzhou's most prosperous commercial zones.

On September 22, the crew of the Hustle Dinner, an innovative play of Kaixin Mahua, gave a flashmob performance on Beijing Lu with a good many interactive sections and ad-lib punchlines, prompting gales of laughter from live audiences.

The Hustle Dinner blends cuisine with live performances, creating a brand new immersive form combining visual experience with savory taste.

Moreover, the New Lifestyle Forum and the comedy competition, which will be held in November and December respectively, are expected to build a platform for young people, audiences and enthusiasts of drama to feel the sparks coming from the collision of each other.

Meanwhile, the festival will also roll out limited-time discounts for each performance to bring joy to more audiences.

What calls for special attention is that BURN, the first live music drama produced by Kaixin Mahua, will be presented in Zhongxihui (中浠汇) Theater, Zhujiang New Town in November. And the Hustle Dinner will be staged in Black Box Indoor Studio Theater in Xiangxue (香雪) area of Huangpu district in Guangzhou in December.
