A number of new attractions in Guangzhou are open to the public this year. Take advantage of the National Day holiday to explore them.
1. Yunxi Botanical Garden

Located at the foot of Baiyun Mountain, Yunxi Botanical Garden has over 1,300 species of plants. It has a nature education center, five special plant exhibition gardens and three ecological paths.

2. Baiyun Mountain

The escalators to Moxing Summit (摩星岭), the top of Baiyun Mountain, were opened to the public in February this year. It takes only five minutes to get from the south gate of Moxing Summit to the top, providing great convenience for people who have difficulty climbing stairs.

On the way down, visitors can try zip-lining at Moxing Summit. As the longest zip line in China, it stretches 1,500 meters and allows people to descend to the Huangpodong Reservoir (黄婆洞水库) in just two minutes. The top speed of the zip line can reach 120 kilometers per hour.

3. Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center
Opened to the public in August, this new landmark is located on the central axis of Baiyun New City and features Lingnan architecture and plants. Visitors can admire 21 exquisite works of art along the corridors, including celadon, traditional Chinese painting and embroidery.

4. Riverside Oasis
Many visitors have been attracted to this soon-to-open attraction, which offers a variety of highlights such as grassland, lotus pond, and grassy slope cottages. It is a great spot to take fancy photos in this fairy-tale town with friends and family.

5. Tunnel Museum
Being the first of its kind in China, the Tunnel Museum focuses on tunnels and underground engineering, showcasing the most challenging tunnel construction cases and cutting-edge construction technologies.
