Starting from this month, a grand music gala — the first Haixinsha Music Season and the 10th Music "Home" Festival — hosted by Xinghai Conservatory of Music, is taking place in Guangzhou, and is scheduled to run through December this year.


Featuring 111 live performances by renowned musicians and ensembles from home and abroad, this four-month-long extravaganza offers a diverse range of musical genres, including piano, jazz, folk music, and vocal performances. Audiences can expect a rich audio-visual feast and a celebration of art and music across borders.

Chrystian Dozza Guitar Solo


Date: Thursday, September 26

Venue: Lang Lang Concert Hall at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music (Higher Education Mega Center campus)

Introduction: Chrystian Dozza, one of the leading lights of the new generation of Brazilian instrumental musicians, a brilliant guitarist and composer


Lin Chaoyang & Wittenberg String Ensemble


Date: Wednesday, October 9

Venue: Symphony Hall at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music (Higher Education Mega Center campus)

Introduction: Lin Chaoyang, a violinist, educator, composer and producer, nominee for Best Original Film Score of Golden Horse Awards


Peking trio


Date: Sunday, October 13

Venue: Sphere Concert Hall in Haixinsha

Introduction: A trio performance presented by viola player Su Zhen, clarinetist Wang Tao and pianist Zhang Fang


Li Pengpeng Guqin Concert


Date: Saturday, October 19

Introduction: Li Pengpeng, a guqin player, musician, special guest performer during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to China


Ju Percussion Group Concert


Dates: Saturday & Sunday, October 26-27

Venue: Platform of the Canton Tower

Introduction: Ju Tzong-Ching, founder of the Taiwan percussion group, and the first Chinese who received the diploma of Music Performer in percussion from the Vienna Conservatory, Austria


Guo Gan Duplessy Crazy Horse Band


Dates: Saturday & Sunday, November 9-10

Venue: Sphere Concert Hall in Haixinsha

Introduction: The band is an innovative fusion of Chinese erhu, Mangolian horse-headed fiddle and throat singing, and European classical guitar and nychelharpa, offering a cross-cultural encounter.
