The Pearl River, China's third-longest river, runs through Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
One of the best ways to appreciate Guangzhou's skyline is to take a night cruise on the Pearl River. There are many cruises to choose from, with some offering dining and cultural experiences, such as Cantonese Opera. For many people, though, the light shows on the buildings lining the river may already be enough of a highlight!
