A platform for mutual recognition of medical examination and testing results in Guangzhou has recently been put into operation.

Built by Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, the platform covering all public medical institutions of the city enables patients to avoid repeat charging and inspection and save more time when they see a doctor in different hospitals.

That is to say, when a patient who has already gone through medical examination or testing from one hospital goes to see a doctor in another hospital, the platform will remind the doctor that there is related data available for reference.

By now, a total of 287 medical institutions are connected to the platform, including all provincial and municipal tertiary hospitals, achieving full coverage of public medical institutions in Guangzhou.

At the same time, the platform also shares the data with other medical institutions in Guangdong province that have access to the provincial mutual recognition platform.

As of the end of May this year, there are 255 medical inspection projects and 1,181 medical testing projects included on the platform, and the results of these projects are all shared and mutually recognized by most of the hospitals in Guangzhou.
