Amid these blistering summer days, why not visit indoor exhibitions in Tianhe district of Guangzhou — the capital of South China's Guangdong province — to soak up some coolness? So, here are a bunch of great ideas to explore really cool arts, crafts, and other sights.
The Exhibition of Van Gogh's Art World brings visitors the legendary life of this famous artist. More than 70 replicas of his works are on display at the Guanji Art Museum until July 31, with an entrance fee of 59.90 yuan (US$ 8.24).
The Story of Stone exhibition at Taikoo Hui showcases more than 40 works of art by 29 intangible cultural heritage inheritors, artists, and designers from Quanzhou and Xiamen cities in East China's Fujian province as well as from Guangzhou city. The works cover Chinese traditional handicrafts and the Maritime Silk Road culture. It'll run through July 18 and entry is free.
Figures of delightful Minions are currently set up all over the Parc Central shopping mall in the district. From now to September 1, there are plenty of chances to snap some really great photos of them.
The exhibition, Neither Here Nor There, is now showing at Qinhee Liede until September 8. With free entry, it displays various artworks in the forms of text, music, video, installations, and performance art.
