In Guangzhou's Baiyun district, multiple vineyards are ready to welcome pickers as several varieties of grape are getting close to their ripening stage. Let's take a sneak peak.

Toubei (头陂) Village Taihe (太和) Town

In Kaixin (Happy) Vineyard, the first batch of Calabrese grape of this summer are ripe enough to be picked. The perfectly-round fruit are resting on the branch, attracting a slew of visitors to come and pick them off.

Grape planting seems to be a heaven-sent business in the town thanks to its fertile soil and fresh air. Moreover, hand weeding method and organic fertilizer are used to avoid the harm of pesticide and ripener, making the grape taste sweet, crisp and tender, without feeling astringent.

This year, the total grape production of the vineyard is expected to hit 80,000 jin (40,000 kilograms). Besides Calabrese grape, other varieties such as Kyoho and Shine Muscat will gradually ripe in July. And the picking time will last through the end of August.

Liaocai (寮采) Village Zhongluotan (钟落潭) Town

Liaocai Village is also alluring you with its plump, fresh and sweet grape planted in Qicaihuatian (七彩花田) Vineyard.

Farmyard manure is used to improve land fertility, providing a rich mouthfeel of grape.

Covering a total area of 30 mu, the vineyard now offers two grape species for you to buy, Calabrese and Shine Muscat. While the picking time of Calabrese is over, you can still go pick Shine Muscat until September.
