There's a series of wonderful exhibitions with various great themes that are taking place in June in Tianhe district of Guangzhou, the capital of South China's Guangdong province. How about planning a trip there to embrace an artistic summer?

The One-act Plays exhibition displays the paintings and paper sculptures created by artist Zeng Jianyong, whose work incorporates characteristics of the early Renaissance and paintings in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), as well as bright colors used in fairy tale illustrations. It's currently on at the Xueyou Jixi (学有缉熙) Art Museum and runs through July 21.

The Tatsuya Miyanishi's World of Wonders exhibition at the Grandview Museum of Natural Science displays 57 works and more than 200 manuscripts and paintings by this celebrated picture-book author. The exhibition runs from June 1 to October 31.

At the exhibition Dreams in Paris: From Monet, Van Gogh to Picasso, visitors can enjoy the masterpieces of the three great masters at one time. At the Guanji Art Museum (观几美术馆) until January 3, 2025, visitors can also create their art paintings.

On the third floor of the Guangdong Museum, from June 21 to October 13, an exhibition is set to display 98 artifacts from the Roman Empire, loaned by the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
