A preliminary dragon boat race was held on the waters of Guangzhou Haizhu National Wetland Park on May 12, kicking off this year's dragon boat race season in Guangzhou.
Hundreds of dragon boat racers from 36 teams in the Pearl River Delta participated in this preliminary heat, with 12 teams winning the qualification for the final race to be held around the Dragon Boat Festival in June.
