Metro Line 3 east extension scheduled to open this year

According to Guangzhou Metro, the construction project of the east extension of Metro Line 3 has reached 98% completion. The line will undergo a series of tests in the following months, including fire protection, safety assessment, trial runs, and opening evaluations. These tests will ensure that the line is ready for public use by the end of the year.
The line extends for a total of 9.54 kilometers, connecting five metro stations: Panyu Square, Bangjiang, Shiqinan, Haichonglu, and Haibang. The east extension line has an interchange station with Metro Line 4 at Haibang station.
