Discover Cantonese cuisine from home and abroad

Cantonese cuisine, known for its light flavor, fresh ingredients and delicate cooking techniques, holds an important position in Chinese culinary culture. As Cantonese people ventured abroad over the years, Cantonese cuisine has spread to other countries and regions, and is gradually welcomed by people from all over the world.


An exhibition presenting the history and culture of Cantonese cuisine from home and abroad is now opened at the Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway Memorial Park, Yuexiu district of Guangzhou, and will last till March 31. Nearly 150 precious photos are on display, unfolding the development, the charm and value of Cantonese cuisine.


While enjoying the exhibition, you can take a stroll around the Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway Memorial Park, which is at the former site of the Dashatou Station (大沙头站), the starting point of the Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway that began operation in 1911. The park demonstrates remnants of the historic railway such as vintage JS Class steam locomotives, green carriages, railway tracks and sleepers.
