An exhibition on the city life in contemporary Canton (Guangzhou) is being held at the Guangzhou Museum from March 8 to May 5.
It vividly showcases the daily life, customs and education of Guangzhou in the first 30 years of the 20th century, a time when China witnessed dramatic social changes, offering insights into how the city took the lead to embrace new ideas and advance modernization.
Looking back to the stories and significant moments of that period, visitors can have a better understanding of the city's development and its characteristics of inclusiveness and openness.
A retro-style photo studio is set up at the exhibition site with a distinctive S-shaped couple chair. Every Saturday starting from March 16, different interactive experience activities will be launched for people to travel back in time and create memories.
